Why Pre-Order Fabric?

Many quilting cotton collections and specialty fabrics are released in limited print runs, meaning once they sell out, they’re gone for good!

To ensure our customers don’t miss out on high-demand fabrics, Fabric Stash offers pre-orders for select collections. By pre-ordering, you reserve your fabric before it’s available for regular sale, guaranteeing that you receive it as soon as it arrives. Pre-orders are fulfilled before any remaining stock is listed on our website.

Before launching our online store, we often had to wait until fabrics were officially released to retailers, only to find they were already sold out! Pre-orders ensure that we can secure the fabrics you love before they’re gone.

How Will My Pre-Order Ship or Be Ready for Pickup?

All pre-orders ship complete, meaning your order will not be sent until all pre-ordered items have arrived. If you place an order with multiple pre-order items, your order will be shipped once everything is in stock.

For local pickup, the same applies. You’ll receive a notification when your order is fully processed and ready for pickup at our Collingwood location.

Ordering Pre-Order & In-Stock Items Together

Since pre-orders ship complete, adding in-stock items to the same order means that your entire order will be held until all pre-ordered items arrive.

To avoid delays, we highly recommend placing separate orders for pre-order and in-stock items. This way, you can receive any available fabrics right away!

When Will My Pre-Order Ship or Be Ready for Pickup?

As soon as your pre-ordered fabrics arrive at Fabric Stash, we process and ship them immediately. You’ll receive an email notification once your order has been shipped or is ready for local pickup.

There are no additional shipping or reservation fees—you simply pay for your order upfront, and we’ll take care of the rest!

How Can I Check My Pre-Orders?

If you’ve created a customer account with us, you can check your pre-orders by logging in and clicking on your unfulfilled orders. This will show you the fabrics you have pre-ordered along with their estimated release dates.

When Do I Pay for My Pre-Order?

Payment is due in full at the time of pre-order. This guarantees your fabric reservation and ensures we can fulfill your order as soon as it arrives.

There are no additional processing or reservation fees for pre-orders. Standard shipping fees apply at checkout, while local pickup is always free.

Can I Cancel My Pre-Order?

Yes, store credit only—no refunds.

If you decide to cancel your pre-order, contact us as soon as possible, and we will issue store credit for the full amount. Store credits can be used both online and in-store at any time.

Store credit is linked to customer accounts, so please ensure you have created an account before requesting a cancellation.

Why Might a Pre-Order Be Delayed?

We provide estimated release dates based on information from manufacturers and distributors. However, unexpected delays (such as supply chain disruptions, strikes, weather events, or other unforeseen circumstances) may occur.

If there are any delays, we will keep you informed and ship your order as soon as the fabric arrives.
