3-Part Project-Based Series | Take One Class or Complete the Series

Learn to sew beautiful, comfortable lingerie and lounge staples using soft bamboo cotton jersey and stretch lace — on a regular sewing machine. No serger required.

Our Lingerie Sewing Series is designed around patterns from Riesling & Rose, with each class focusing on a different garment and introducing new skills for sewing stretch fabrics, lingerie elastic and lace.

Each class is designed to stand on its own, so you can register for the project that interests you most. However, the series has been intentionally structured to build your skills from one class to the next.

Start with the Lace Bralette, move into Panties, and then bring everything together with the more advanced Bodysuit.

Part 2: Panties – High-Waist or Bikini

Next, we’ll work with bamboo cotton jersey and stretch lace to create a comfortable pair of handmade underwear.

Choose between a high-waist or bikini style and learn how to customize your project for the fit and coverage you prefer.

We’ll build on the techniques introduced in the Bralette class while exploring:

• Measuring and selecting your size
• Cutting bamboo cotton jersey
• Understanding stretch and fabric direction
• Working with multiple stretch fabrics in one garment
• Constructing underwear
• Sewing curves in stretch fabrics
• Applying elastic evenly
• Creating clean, comfortable finishes
• Adjusting fit and understanding negative ease

You’ll leave with a finished pair of panties and even more confidence working with stretch fabrics.
