Ages 10–18 | Saturday | 10:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
Sewing Kids Club is a relaxed, creative space for young sewists to make, experiment and build their skills — without everyone having to make the same project.
There is no set weekly project or curriculum. One week we might make a plushie, bag or seasonal project; another week we might learn a new technique, continue an existing project, or help turn a student’s own idea into something they can sew.
Students are encouraged to bring their ideas, explore new techniques and work at their own pace with hands-on instructor guidance along the way.
Some projects will be completed in one session, while others may continue over multiple Kids Club visits.
Experience Required
Students should have basic sewing machine experience and be able to operate a sewing machine with some independence.
Brand new to sewing? We recommend completing Youth Sewing 101 before joining Kids Club.
Materials
Materials are not included in registration. Students may bring suitable supplies from home or purchase materials from Fabric Stash at a reduced rate.
Any Fabric Stash materials used will be billed at the end of the session based on the student’s individual project. Most projects will require approximately $5–$25 in materials. Parent/guardian approval will be required before beginning a project expected to exceed $25 in materials.
Come with an idea, choose something from our inspiration, or just come ready to sew.
