Description
Machine Embroidery Kids Club
Ages 10–18 | Saturday | 10:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
Machine Embroidery Kids Club is an open, creative session where young makers can explore machine embroidery, try new techniques and create projects they’re excited about.
There is no set weekly project or curriculum. We might make an in-the-hoop project, try appliqué, create a patch, personalize something, explore a seasonal design, combine embroidery with sewing, or work on a student’s own creative idea.
Students can try something new each visit or continue working on a larger project over several Kids Club sessions.
The goal is to give young embroiderers the freedom to experiment while continuing to build their skills and confidence with hands-on instructor guidance.
Experience Required
Students should have basic machine embroidery experience and be comfortable with the fundamentals of using an embroidery machine.
New to machine embroidery? We recommend completing Youth Machine Embroidery 101 before joining Kids Club.
Materials
Materials are not included in registration. Students may bring appropriate supplies from home or purchase materials from Fabric Stash.
Any Fabric Stash materials used will be billed at the end of the session based on the student’s individual project. Most projects will require approximately $5–$25 in materials. Parent/guardian approval will be required before beginning a project expected to exceed $25 in materials.
Come with an idea, choose some inspiration at the studio, or just come ready to create.
